Enagdget reports that Dell's site has OSX listed as an OS for Driver downloads. I don't think anything super secret is going on. My theory is that it's there because of Dell Displays. The 20.5 inch and 24 inch widescreen use/used the same flat panel as Apple cinema dispalys and became the display of choice [...]

May 30, 2006Bug in my Cinema Display – Google Video
May 27, 2006This guy literally has a bug in his cinema display–an ant to be precise. How it survived, I don't know. While Windows is known for its bugs, Apple products do attract the real kind of bugs. Last night a small flying insect landed on my PowerBook and died. Makes me wonder if it's safe to [...]
Cate Blanchett to play Bob Dylan????
May 27, 2006They're making a biopic about Bob Dylan where different actors play different aspects of his personality. This is exactly like a play from last year where different actors played different aspects of John Lennon's personality. That play was universally panned and closed after a few days. They never learn.

Rebelscum.com: Classic OT DVDs: Don’t Make Assumptions
May 23, 2006A lot of people seem to be up in arms that the Original Trilogy DVDs have not gotten the full blown restoration that the Special Edition did, and are in fact coming from the 1993 LaserDisc masters. To be honest, I'm not surprised. Lucas considers the Special Edition to be the definitive version, and the [...]

A funny on the new Yahoo.
May 19, 2006One of the funniest headlines I've seen in a while showed up on the new Yahoo yesterday. It is referring to the fact that "The DaVinci Code" was unceremoniously booed at the Cannes film festival

Five Architectural Flaws in Windows
May 19, 2006This neat article addresses the five biggest flaws in Windows–flaws which the author notes are not present in Mac OS X (or any other Unix based OS for that matter). The biggest one is that running in least privelege mode in Windows is ineffective and most times impossible. As the author rightly states, doing a [...]
Powazek: Just a Thought: Back in Black
May 19, 2006Some more first impressions on the MacBook. I'm still skeptical about the glossy display, and the shared video memory. I too think I'm much happier with my 12" PowerBook G4. I think I can live without Intel until the MacPros (or whatever the PowerMac replacement will be called)–assuming I can get a loan to afford [...]
