Free up space on your Mac with Disk Inventory X

My so-called digital lifestyle has taken it's toll on my Power Book's drive space. I've been hovering at 12.0 GB free on its 60GB drive (I like to keep at least 10% free) for some time, and I've found Disk Inventory X  to be very helpful in allowing me to keep as much as possible on the drive and eliminate a lot of the bloat. Usually on Desktops drive space is not a problem for me since I use external hard drives and network drives for a lot of the storage needs, but on a laptop external drives are neither practical nor convenient to take on the go so I like to keep as much on the internal hard drive as possible. I subscribe to the author's theory of archiving rather than just deleting unused files, although for me burning files to a CD is as good as deleting them since I forget I have them and have no idea where they are.

For Windows users, JDisk Reporter does the same job as Disk Inventory X although the reports are not as easy to navigate or are as pretty.
